Cookies and your choices.
What this site saves in your browser today, what we may add later only if you say yes, and how to change your mind at any time.
The short version
- Today we save two small settings in your browser: your language and your colour choice. They are not sent to us.
- We also save your answer to our privacy question, so we don't ask again on every page.
- We use no analytics or advertising tools today. If we add them, they start only after you say yes.
What we save today
These are saved in your browser's local storage. It works like a cookie, but it stays on your device and is not sent to our server with each page. The law treats it the same way as a cookie, so we list it here.
wz-lang, your language. Saved when you pick English or Turkish, so the next page opens in the same language. Group: necessary.wz-pal-c, your colour choice. Saved when you pick a colour on this preview, so the site keeps it. Group: necessary.- storage name, your privacy choice. Saved when you answer our privacy question: yes or no to analytics, and yes or no to marketing. Group: necessary.
None of these hold your name, email or anything else that says who you are.
Fonts and hosting
- Fonts. Our letters (Outfit and JetBrains Mono) load from Google Fonts. To send them, Google's servers see your IP address and browser details. Google says it sets no cookies for this. Lawyer to check whether this needs your consent, or whether we should host the fonts on our own server instead.
- Hosting. Our host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address to deliver the pages and block attacks. It may set a short-lived security cookie if it thinks a visitor is a bot. Owner to confirm which Cloudflare security features are switched on.
- Videos. Our videos play from our own site, so no video service sees your visit.
What we may add later, only with your consent
- Analytics. To count visits and see which pages help people. Tool: analytics tool. It starts only if you say yes to analytics.
- Meta Pixel. To see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads bring visitors, and to show our ads to people who have visited. It sends your visit to Meta. It starts only if you say yes to marketing.
Before we add anything new, we update this page and ask you again.
The three groups
Necessary · always on
What the site needs to work as you asked: your language, your colour choice, your privacy choice and the host's security cookie. You can't switch these off here, but you can clear them in your browser at any time.
Analytics · off until you say yes
Counts visits and clicks so we can improve the site. We don't use it to find out who you are.
Marketing · off until you say yes
Helps us measure our ads and show them to people who have visited, for example with the Meta Pixel.
How long
- Language and colour: until you clear this site's data in your browser. Local storage has no end date of its own.
- Your privacy choice: for example 12 months, then we ask again. Lawyer to check
- Analytics: from the tool's settings
- Meta Pixel: Meta's cookie lifetime, checked before launch
Change your choice
Open the panel and switch analytics or marketing on or off. Your new choice works from the next page you open.
- Yes and No are equally easy to press, and nothing is ticked for you.
- Saying no does not change how the site works.
- Your choice is saved only in this browser. On another phone or browser, choose again.
- To remove everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings. We ask again on your next visit.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to marketing.
Saying no later stops new data from being collected. It does not undo what was sent before. To have that deleted, write to email.
Legal basis
- Necessary: our legitimate interest in a site that works and stays safe, and the fact that you asked for the language or colour. KVKK Article 5(2)(f), GDPR Article 6(1)(f). For visitors in the EU, storage that is strictly needed for something you asked for does not need consent. Lawyer to check
- Analytics and marketing: your explicit consent, which you can take back at any time. KVKK Article 5(1), GDPR Article 6(1)(a), and the EU ePrivacy rules on cookies. Lawyer to check
- Data sent abroad: Google (fonts) and Meta (pixel) are outside Turkey. Lawyer to check the basis under KVKK Article 9: the Board's standard contract or another route.
- Guidance: the Turkish data protection authority's cookie guide (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber) for visitors in Turkey. Lawyer to check
